Tell Me A Story…

Once upon a time, there were a thousand and one websites on the internet in which you could purchase your t-shirt wares upon. Some of these shops had a variety of stylish designs to clothe a clever customer wandering the digital landscape, yet the quality of the shirts and ye olde printing process left much to be desired. Other online stores boast superior tee fabrics, yet the wit and depth you cherish is as shallow as a half-drained kiddie pool.

Just as you resign yourself to making one half-hearted choice over the other, you spot a unicorn on the other side of the clearance sale clearing. At first you’re confused, since you assumed all unicorns were in hibernation deep within the clouds above, as they tended to be this time of year. But no, this unicorn is wearing an ironically hilarious t-shirt and winks at you knowlingly, intriguing you enough to follow its rainbow-colored footprints.

You soon come upon a website that offers a magical tee selection of witty designs and slogans created by the Knights of The Artist Collaborative, that aspire to make you think just a little bit while laughing your guts out, all forged onto the finest 100 percent ring-spun cotton (American Apparel). And just before your mind (and shopping cart) is filled with all the whimsy you can hold, the unicorn opens its mouth and melodiously proclaims, “Welcome to MadeWithAwesome.com”.

Evan Ferstenfeld and Roni Lagin met in the Fall of 2008. A chance encounter of Roni recognizing Evan after a Ben Folds concert prompted a successful partnership that has held strong through the ages. Their appreciation of wearable art on torso fabric along with the rest of the world's exasperation at two people talking about t-shirts for hours a day helped their friendship turn into a burgeoning business enterprise.
